Cookies Cookies Cookies~~~~

Ha ha...on Friday Christina popped through my door and gave me a big plate piled with cookies!! My Christmas present!

Friday night we had a cookie bake party at my friend Elaine's house....my god her house is so clean, and her lights and tree are all up~~ It was so pretty. She also had two cats called Harry and Hermione...hee hee. Katie made pumkin, cranberry, and...um...something cookies. We also tried strawberry Jello cookies. They actually turned out pretty good~~Here are the pictures:

DECORATING!! Aren't they pretty??

Man...

My measuring cup broke right in half.

I had specifically chosen a plastic one, not a glass one, so it wouldn't break so easily.

Thanksgiving~

There's too much too tell, and I'm a bit too lazy:P

My lovely family in Connecticut...

With me....

And dessert..

Wish I had taken more pics.

Ok ok...here's a list of some things we did:

-I slept till noon everyday (a big nono but I couldn't get my eyes open..)
-watched Aamy and her bf's trip to Shanghai on DVD (saw my grandparents)
-helped my aunt make egg casserole
-stuffed myself with food--chips, dip, pies....
-had a breakfast at Windmill
-haha..."Yellow Brick Road" ed through the parking lot between Best Buy and the Loew Theater
-watched Deja vu and 007 (hahaha!)--had popcorn of course
-played Chinese checkers
-I brought my gingersnaps which were pretty well received...(yea!)

the success of the gingersnaps (the recipe I got from my professor) gave me the confidence to make some for my kungfu class, writing class, and cupcakes for another class. And it gave me a good excuse for a study break:P

Bowl cakes...

Aafter the succes with gingersnaps, I decided to try gingerbread cupcakes which were also on the recipe. I tried some on Tuesday, and they tasted really good. To bad only the top-halves of the cupcakes would come out of the pan(the one where there are already holes). I made a mess trying to pry lose the bottom halves. So instead of 12 whole cupcakes, I had some perfect halves and lots of scraps.

No worry. I'll try the next day.

I bought more ingredients, and put them in cupcake paper holders. I filled each 2/3 full, like the recipe said. Well, I think I was pretty naive on that part.

I put the 12 mounds of batter in the oven, and Poof!---they had exploded into a BIG cupcake. Each. They were 3 times bigger than the cute little cupcakes I had imagined in my mind. They were still delicious, and even better with icing on them. I brought my bowlcakes to class and everyone thought it was good.
