Once in a lifetime ride~

Hehe....another 3 months has gone by^^" I've been pretty lazy....but some interesting things have finally happened.

One evening, on the second day of June, dad asked us if we wanted to go anywhere. I suggested Beipu. And so we went. It was 6 o'clock by the time we got there, and after strolling around we went to the parking lot to get our car. We got in the car at exactly 7 o'clock, and dad tried to unlock the gear.

It wouldn't.

Dad fiddled and faddled with it for more than an hour while mom called for help. After some twists and turns and waiting, a tow truck finally came. They hooked the hooks onto the wheels, and lifted the car onto the truck. And after a moment of hesitation, they said we could sit in our car while they drove us to the auto company, the one next to MacDonald's. Ha! Boy! I could hardly wait to get in. Imagine sitting in your car that's on a tow truck! According to their rules we're not supposed to, but we had no other way of getting home so they made an exception. And we had to pick up my brother too (he was at cram school--too bad he missed out on the ride). Anyway, it was such a fun ride: kind of bumpy, kind of afraid the car might fall off, and at the same time feeling very very pleased because you're on top of the world--well, at least higher than most of the cars. So there we were, riding in our car with our gear stuck and speeding along the highway~~ It was like a ride in the amusement park.

When we got there, we couldn't get off right away (which was perfectly fine with me:)). The truck parked besdie the road, and they had no way to lift it off there because of the height of the building. While the tow truck people and the auto people tried to figure out the best solution, a couple of the auto people looked at the gear lock. Finally, a middle-aged guy found a tool box and proceeded to unscrew the lock of our gear.

Whew! Saved our lives.

The tow truck backed into the auto garage and gently let our car roll off. We were still in the car, but mom had stepped out. She recorded this part, but I have no idea how to upload it onto my blog.

So ended our exciting ride, and dad drove home shifting gears with a metal stick, without a knob.

P.S. If anyone knows how to upload a video, please teach me:)
