Heart Stop

Last Friday I went to Barnes and Noble and bought a book. I then went to Walgreens, and when I dug in my bag, I couldn't find my debit card! Oh my gosh I was so frantic I rushed back to my apartment and called them, hoping I had left it on the counter and maybe someone had saved it and not lying around somewhere on the ground or stolen...it was a ball day so there was a pretty huge crowd and I was so worried. But it wouldn't make sense for someone to just take that one card if they wanted to steal, right? I checked my bank account and my money was still there, so that was a teeny relief. But who knows? I made the call.
Thank HEAVENS the lady at the counter had spotted it about 10 minutes after I left. I went to get it the next day.
